I'I've said it before, and I'll say it again - I love the challenge of writing a family tree. But of course all the trees I've written to date have gone to the people that commissioned them.
I've spent some time getting half of my family tree (my Mum plus the preceding 5 generations, going back to around 1800) written up. I'm very pleased with it, and although it wasn't quite finished, I took it along to a family gathering where people were really interested to look at it.
I've also taken it to a couple of craft events where it certainly generated plenty of conversation.
Sadly I've not discovered any rogues in my family yet - but I'll keep looking! The funniest thing about this tree is that I accidentally wrote my sister in law's date of birth as 1868 - she doesn't look nearly that old!
(And luckily it was quite an easy correction to make)
